Los Angeles, CA — The Leimert Park Music Series returns for its 6th electrifying showcase on Monday, August 25, bringing together a powerful lineup of rising Black artists for a night of music, culture, and community at the legendary World Stage. Presented by 247 Live Culture, this grassroots series has quickly become a staple in Los Angeles for celebrating authentic artistry and uplifting voices from across the Black creative spectrum.
This month’s lineup includes an exciting mix of lyrical powerhouses and soulful voices:
🎤 Rappers: Hersoul, 2 Hungry, Jaleel Harley, Arii The Chosen, Sneak Duce, and Omar Cook
🎶 Singers: Sabri Killings and Chi Rose
🎧 Sounds curated by: Sweet Candy Radio, bringing the vibe all night
With tickets just $10, the Leimert Park Music Series continues to be one of the city’s most accessible and welcoming events—centered around love, community, and genuine support. Whether you're an artist, a fan, or someone who just wants to soak in the culture, this is the place to be.
Over 25 incredible performers have graced our stage since we launched the series, and we’re just getting started. From powerful spoken word and smooth R&B to raw hip-hop storytelling, the showcase is a reflection of the brilliance and diversity of Black creativity in Los Angeles and beyond.
About The World Stage
Founded in 1989 by legendary jazz drummer Billy Higgins and acclaimed poet Kamau Daáood, The World Stage is a historic cultural institution located in the heart of Leimert Park. For over 30 years, it has served as a sanctuary for Black artistic expression—hosting jazz greats, poets, musicians, and visionaries. Today, it continues to be a space where creativity, activism, and community intersect.
