Presented by 247 Live Culture, this grassroots series continues to thrive as one of Los Angeles’ most inspiring platforms for rising Black creatives—centered around truth, authenticity, and artistic elevation.
This month’s lineup offers a compelling mix of poetic insight, lyrical precision, and soulful expression:

Founded in 1989 by legendary jazz drummer Billy Higgins and acclaimed poet Kamau Daáood, The World Stage is a historic cultural institution located in the heart of Leimert Park. For over 30 years, it has served as a sanctuary for Black artistic expression—hosting jazz greats, poets, musicians, and visionaries. Today, it continues to be a space where creativity, activism, and community intersect.
