Who's Hot? Exclusive | Ep. 27 ft. WILLchair Jimi
Hailing from Washington, DC, Willchair Jimi has brought his rapping and singing talents to Los Angeles. Developing his talent since elementary school, he’s ready to further his mark in both the rap and acting worlds.
“Sometimes you just need to isolate yourself from everything. Sometimes you need that, so you can think your own thoughts and feel your own feelings instead of dealing with everything else.”
His 2023 EP titled One Day In LA was literally written, recorded, and leoduced in a day, an easy feat for this talented rapper. It opens with the hard-hitting track “Fly Roller” and maintains the momentum throughout all 6 songs. “Fly Roller” is also his favorite track in addition to the closing track, “Finesser X.”
WillChair Jimi has also released several other singles to streaming platforms since 2020. “Mae Esther,” for example, is a melodic tribute to his late grandmother, whom he hopes he’s making proud. Experimenting with visuals, he also has a video for single “Isolation,” which he filmed in LA and is a deep reflection on the need to be alone and recharge at times to emerge even better. As he believes, you can be moving a lot and not going anywhere.
