Larrenwong, a versatile and self-taught music artist from Union City, California, recently joined the "Who's Hot? Exclusive" podcast to delve into his new EP titled "Greenroom EP" and his intriguing journey into the world of acting. Born to a Filipino immigrant mother and a Black American father, Larrenwong's diverse cultural background has significantly influenced his unique musical style. His early inspiration came from his grandfather, a jazz band leader and flautist with the New York Philharmonic, which fueled his passion for music from a young age.
Starting with the guitar at just twelve years old, Larrenwong expanded his musical expertise to include producing, and playing instruments like the bass, piano, and bassoon. His artistic journey is not just confined to music; Larren also excelled in sports, playing D1 football and even briefly joining the Seattle Seahawks as a linebacker. His academic achievements include a Master’s in Creative Management from Northwestern University.

Growing up in a church instilled in him a deep connection to music, inspiring him to evoke emotions through his own music. He sought to establish that same connection with his audience so they could feel the emotions conveyed in his songs.
He creates various types of music within the hip-hop genre, ranging from songs about gang life to inspirational and thought-provoking tracks. Some of his favorites from his catalog are “Do Not Disturb”, “Lead Us Not”, “Thinking Out Loud”, and “Never Take A Loss”.

He also discusses how gang culture significantly affects Los Angeles and how people in the South support each other, while in LA, nobody wants to promote or uplift others.
