Omar Cook is a best-selling author, award-winning filmmaker, actor, and visionary media entrepreneur committed to reshaping the narrative of Black culture through powerful storytelling and community impact. Born in Riverside, California, Omar began his journey as a collegiate football player at Southern University, later playing professionally in the Indoor Football League. Transitioning to entertainment, he made his mark as a motion capture actor for the Madden NFL video game series, appearing in seven editions, and performed stunts and acted in over 40 episodes of major television shows including Ballers (HBO), All American (The CW), and Colin in Black & White (Netflix).

As a filmmaker, Omar has starred in and directed a wide array of award-winning films, including LA Undercover, Sounds of the Streets, and God of Dreams, earning 31 international film festival awards. He also played a supporting role in the feature film The 4 Points. Under his leadership as Founder and CEO, 247 Live Culture has grown into a dynamic global media and entertainment company based in Los Angeles. The platform encompasses an award-winning film production division, a 7-show podcast network focused on truth and empowerment, a Black-Owned Business Directory connecting businesses to consumers, PR services for artists, daily news, and community-building cultural events such as the Leimert Park Music Series and the Future Leaders of America Forum.

In addition to his work in film, Omar recently released an inspirational EP titled Destined For Greatness, featuring the powerful lead single "Spiritual War"—a musical expression of resilience, faith, and purpose.

As a public speaker and advocate for social change, Omar has organized and spoken at major political and cultural events, including Kamala Harris campaign launches in partnership with OFA CA, the National Action Network Western Regional Summit, and panels such as Respect My Crown: The Rise of African American Women in California Politics. Through his books—including Civic Empowerment: A Citizen’s Guide to Effective Participation in Government—films, music, events, and community initiatives, Omar continues to uplift, inspire, and mobilize people around the world toward empowerment, representation, and cultural excellence.
