Los Angeles, CA — The Leimert Park Music Series continues to thrive as one of Los Angeles’ most inspiring stages for Black artistry, and the 8th showcase on Monday, October 27th proved exactly why this movement continues to grow each month. Hosted at the historic World Stage and presented by 247 Live Culture, the night was electric—filled with raw emotion, uplifting performances, and a deep sense of unity that reflected the true essence of community and creativity in Leimert Park.
This month’s lineup brought together an incredible mix of artistry, energy, and authenticity. Solomon Hayes gave a dynamic performance that blended faith, lyricism, and commanding stage presence—honoring God through his craft while setting the tone for a powerful night. Dru Kadafii gave an inspiring set rooted in truth and testimony, sharing his journey of survival and transformation through music that radiated peace, power, and West Coast soul.

Held at The World Stage, a legendary cultural institution founded in 1989 by Billy Higgins and Kamau Daáood, the Leimert Park Music Series carries forward a rich legacy of Black artistic excellence. From jazz legends to modern storytellers, this space has always represented freedom, creativity, and community—and the Leimert Park Music Series is proudly continuing that tradition for a new generation of creators.
