Los Angeles, CA — The Leimert Park Music Series continues to rise as one of Los Angeles’ most powerful platforms for Black creatives, and the 7th showcase on Monday, September 29th was a shining example of why this movement matters. Hosted once again at the historic World Stage in Leimert Park and presented by 247 Live Culture, the night was filled with electric performances, positive energy, and an overwhelming sense of community love.
The lineup featured a brilliant mix of talent—poet Ki Divine, rappers A. Mahnaz, Isaiah Bowers, and Omar Cook, and R&B singer Prince Ndour—each bringing their own soul, story, and spirit to the stage.
Ki Divine gave a soul-stirring spoken word performance that took the audience on a spiritual journey through rhythm and truth. A. Mahnaz amazed the crowd with a fearless, faith-driven set, honoring God with powerful bars and unapologetic energy. Isaiah Bowers brought West Coast vibes and superstar charisma, effortlessly engaging the room with his sharp delivery and presence.
Prince Ndour, representing the soul of Africa, delivered smooth R&B vocals that transcended borders. Omar Cook spoke with intention, performing “I Feel It” and “Real Love,” and inspiring the crowd with a message of purpose, love, and elevation.

More than just performances, the night was a living, breathing example of what happens when Black artists show up for each other. Every performer was met with love and support not just from the crowd—but from fellow artists, who clapped, cheered, and uplifted each other throughout the night. It was a true celebration of community and culture.
With over 30 artists having now graced the stage since the series began, the Leimert Park Music Series has become a creative sanctuary for performers and audiences alike. Each month, the event grows—in talent, visibility, and purpose—and continues to set a new standard for what it means to elevate Black voices through music and poetry.
Held at The World Stage, a cultural cornerstone founded in 1989 by Billy Higgins and Kamau Daáood, the series stands on a legacy of Black artistic excellence. The space has always been a home for creativity, activism, and healing—and now, through the Leimert Park Music Series, a new generation is carrying that torch forward.
