HOLLYWOOD, CA – The LA Undercover universe is returning with even higher stakes, deeper emotional conflict, and a darker look into the realities of undercover police work in LA Undercover: Against the Code. The upcoming crime drama blends action, betrayal, and tragedy into a tense street thriller centered around love, sacrifice, and the cost of living between two worlds.
Directed by Adonis Armstrong and Omar Cook, the film follows Officer Corey Shaw, played by Omar Cook, an undercover officer willing to risk everything to save the woman he loves. After his pregnant girlfriend Sierra, portrayed by Queen Ajima, is kidnapped by dangerous Los Angeles crime lord Keys, played by Clay Cureton, Corey is pushed beyond the limits of the law and forced to make choices that could cost him his badge, his future, and ultimately himself.
“We had to run a second installment after the fans were asking for more. And I believe we delivered a great project.”
At the center of the story is a dangerous investigation into powerful street kingpin Skrilla, portrayed by Jaytee Thompson. As Corey continues his undercover mission, he infiltrates Skrilla’s organization by building relationships with trusted lieutenants Cardo and Tez, played by Duane Finely and Kendon Tillis. The deeper Corey gets into the criminal underworld, the harder it becomes to separate his identity as a police officer from the life he’s pretending to live.
What makes Against the Code stand apart from traditional crime dramas is its emotional core. While the film delivers gritty action sequences, tactical raids, and escalating gang warfare, it also explores the devastating consequences of trauma and obsession. After Sierra is eventually rescued, the emotional damage caused by the kidnapping leads to the loss of their unborn child, leaving Corey and Sierra struggling to survive emotionally long after the violence ends.
As the investigation intensifies, tensions inside Skrilla’s organization begin to explode. Betrayals, shifting loyalties, and power struggles erupt throughout Los Angeles’ criminal underworld, including an attempted assassination involving rival figure Keys while in police custody. These conflicts push the city toward an all-out collision between law enforcement and organized crime.
The film builds toward a climactic tactical operation at an industrial warehouse where Corey’s intelligence becomes the key to dismantling Skrilla’s empire once and for all. But by the end of the mission, the emotional scars left behind force Corey to question whether justice was truly worth the personal cost.
With themes of loyalty, grief, corruption, and redemption, LA Undercover: Against the Code aims to deliver a grounded and emotionally charged story that reflects both the dangers of undercover policing and the human consequences that often go unseen.
The film continues the expansion of the LA Undercover franchise while showcasing a cast of rising talent and familiar faces from independent cinema. Through its raw depiction of Los Angeles street culture and emotional storytelling, Against the Code positions itself as more than just another crime movie — it’s a character-driven thriller about how far someone is willing to go for family, survival, and revenge.
