Viral sketch comic and cultural influencer Druski is officially stepping into one of culture’s biggest spotlights. BET announced that the 31 year old entertainer will host the 2026 BET Awards, making him the youngest emcee in the show’s history.

The ceremony will air live on June 28th from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, marking the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards. Long regarded as a cornerstone celebration of Black excellence across music, film, television and sports. From unforgettable performances and tributes to viral cultural moments, the show continues to serve as a pulse check for the culture.

With this hosting role, Druski surpasses Kevin Hart, who previously held the distinction as the youngest host after leading the show in 2011.

I grew up watching the BET Awards. To know the comedic legends that hosted before me set the bar so high, I’m just grateful to be a part of the history. But I’m still bringing my brand of comedy to the stage.

Best known for his viral sketches and improvisational style, Druski has built a loyal audience by turning relatable, everyday scenarios into comedic gold. That online momentum has translated into sold out comedy tours, major brand partnerships and high profile collaborations with artists like Drake and Snoop Dogg. He has also expanded his reach beyond music, appearing alongside sports legends like Tom Brady and former streamer Kai Cenat, signaling his crossover appeal.

As one of the most exciting comedic voices of his generation, Druski brings a unique ability to connect with audiences through humor that feels both fresh and deeply rooted in culture.

His growing list of accolades includes being named to Forbes’ Under 30 list and Rolling Stone’s Most Influential Creators, as well as making history in 2025 as the first comedian to cover Billboard’s No. 1s issue.

The 2026 show will be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay serving as executive producers.
